Massport Community Advisory Committee to hold Oct. 18 meeting

The Massport Community Advisory Committee has repeatedly ignored requests from communities under 4L/4R flight paths

Massport CAC Annual Meeting
Massachusetts Transportation Building, Transportation Board Room, Second Floor, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116
October 18, 2018
4:00 – 6:30 p.m.

The 4L/4R communities have repeatedly asked the Massport Community Advisory Committee to use its powers to:

  • Hold hearings concerning MIT tests by Professor John  Hansmann
  • Submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to Massport and the FAA about the tests
  • Urge testing of dispersed 4R/4L approach paths
  • Urge that MIT conduct on-site field work not just mere computer modeling
  • Urge testing of dispersed 4R approach paths as requested by residents – not the impractical eccentric models MIT raised and dropped
  • Test restoration of 3-degree approach glide slope

The MCAC also never joined other airport groups that proposed overflight noise mitigation amendments to the FAA budget bill. Why not?

Senators Markey, warren and all 13 Boston City Council Members supported overflight amendments to the recent FAA bill.

The Massport Community Advisory Committee (MCAC or Massport CAC) did nothing.
